Talk on Physical Fitness

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body; it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.”- J.F. Kennedy.

To help organize the fitness schedule, Dr. Sheela Nambiar, an eminent gynecologist made a presentation on Physical Fitness in September. She spoke about the importance of “Imaging” and on how to maintain the right image. The session dealt with diet habits, food, water intake and on how to eat and work-out according to body types. This was followed by a personal counseling session in which diet for individual students was discussed.

The myth of additional work-outs and compromise on food habits was addressed in this talk. The aspect of balanced diet was emphasized.

The message that the students received - Never negate the importance of physical fitness, work towards achieving a healthy disease-free body!
