The 21st
day of September, 2013 witnessed the showcasing of artistic and creative
talents of the 3 months batch at Good Shepherd Finishing School. The theme of
the competition was “Life of a Woman in India”;
One
underlying point of consensus between all students was that, women in India
still do not enjoy the status they truly deserve. From the lady in the Burqa to
the overworked lady who looks after her family at all costs. They
showcased the true state of affairs of half the Indian population. Art as a
medium is strong, and this competition truly showed how art can force you to
face reality and seriously ponder over what is happening around us in our society.
