Garment draping is considered to be an
expertise in the fashion world. The students of the 9 months course were given
the opportunity to know and understand all the relevant aspects pertaining to
garment draping. It was held on 14 September and 17 September. The
Workshop was conducted by the Fashion Design Faculty.
We were provided with mannequins to
measure, cut and align the garment according to our need. We used pins to fix
and set the garment. We were then shown a documentary on the diverse ways to
drape a given garment.
This workshop was truly successful as
it helped all of us to comprehend the nuances of garment draping.
