The Republic Day was celebrated at Good Shepherd Finishing School
on 26 January, 2013. The day began with the hoisting of the national flag by
the Dean, Mrs. Neetha Nataraj which was followed by her republic day message.
All the students along with the faculty members sang the National Anthem. The
patriotic spirits of the students was further lifted when the GSIS choir sang “
Sare Jahan Se Acha”
Speeches on ‘The Importance of the
Indian Constitution’ and ‘The Relevance of Republic Day Celebrations in
2013’ was delivered by Ms Meera Aghara and Ms Athika Mariam respectively. The
programmes were organised by the House leaders of the batches. Ms Rishum Bawa
anchored the events.
