To a modern day girl, Saree is a
fashion statement by itself. It is something exquisite, exotic, a sign of
beauty and grace. It is immensely fascinating on how a 6 yards of cloth
can be draped so beautifully in various ways! Ms. Nita Mahtani conducted a session on ‘Saree Draping’.
Through this session, we found out that ‘Devdas’ and ‘Mumtaz’ and ‘Mermaid’
were not only names of movies or people or mythological creatures, but were
styles of Saree draping as well.
Especially to a Saree enthusiast, this workshop was immensely informative,
since they included practical sessions on how to drape a Saree in more ways
than one could actually imagine.
