ONAM AT GOOD SHEPHERD FINISHING SCHOOL

Onam is a festival celebrated by the people of Kerala, India. The festival commemorates the Vamana avatar of Vishnu and the subsequent homecoming of the legendary Emperor Mahabali. It is the state festival of Kerala and falls during the month of Chingam (August – September) and lasts for ten days. The 10days are marked with various festivities.
The students and faculty members of the Good Shepherd Finishing School celebrated this festival with great gusto. An elaborate banquet lunch on Wednesday, 29 August 2012 was the highlight. The Central Atrium displayed an intricate flower carpet made by the students.
