Ethnopastel

Pastel shades in Ethnic wear marked “Ethnopastel”, incredible in its own way. The Fashion Show of the 9 Months Batch for the year 2014-2015 was splendid with the spectacle of outfits in pastel shades; Light Green, Peach, Pink , Blue and Lavender.

In 5 Laaps, in 5 Teams, the students bagged the attention of the audience at Ethnopastel. The Drape round or Enswathe saw the Batch in the shade yellow accompanied with black accessories. It was the designing skills of the Batch that was exposed at Enswathe.




















Ms Heena Zope was adjudged as the best of Enswathe.

This round was followed by the Pastel round were the pastel shades in Ethnic wear was revealed. The creative styles of the students were discovered in this Laap.  














Miss Pastel was bagged by Ms Harleen Kaur.

Pastel round gave way to Ethnico Round were the Indian traditional wear Saree , was matched with designs in Saree blouses of the respective shades.The resourcefulness of the Students was unraveled at Ethnico Round.

The 3 Houses Elegance, Excellence and Emancipation tried their team work skills in link with Nature in the Flora round. With natural creepers of different kind, the outfits were designed and the representatives of the Teams presented them on the Ramp.





















Ms Prachi Goyal of House Excellence was adjudged Miss Flora.

MISS FLORA WITH MRS. ELSAMMA THOMAS - PRINCIPAL, GSFS


Dust Polythene sheets, LED Lights, Broken pipes and mirrors and Plastic spoons and forks were used as design materials for the garments in the Trial Round. The 3 Houses competed with charm for Miss Trial.  




 




 
















Ms Shivmala Bhosle of House Excellence was selected as Miss Trial.

When Ethnopastel, styles in pastel shades concluded, it turned out to be a great visual treat for the audience. For the students…it was.. the hands on experience in preparing and presenting themselves according to Styles.. a memorable addition to the Diploma in Fashion Design from NIFT.
