Nilgiris is a tribal heritage and one of the prominent tribes constitute the Todas. Dr. Tarun Chhabra, our local expert enthralled us with his indepth knowledge about the tribes, the flora and fauna of the Nilgiris. We Finishing School ladies got an opportunity to know the history, culture and lifestyles of “The Todas”. We were amazed to see their creativity which comprised of jewellery, crafts, equipments in the Toda Museum situated near our school campus. We were enriched with knowledge and had fun in the form of an educational picnic.
